TTC Day Pass

While I do my fair share of griping about the TTC, it really can be a great way to get around the city. For those of us who don't ride often enough to justify the cost of a month-long Metropass, the best deal is probably the TTC Day Pass.

Unless you've got a lot of errands to run, the $10 price tag might not seem like such a deal, but on weekends and statutory holidays - like the upcoming Canada Day - the pass gets AWESOME. At these times a single day pass can be used by 2 adults traveling together, so you're getting double the value. Thinking of taking the kids to Harbourfront for the day? No problem! Up to 6 people can travel on 1 pass: 1 adult with up to 5 kids, or 2 adults with up to 4 kids (and by kids, I mean anyone under 19). It's good for unlimited travel from the start of service, until 5:30 am the next day.

Day passes can be purchased at TTC stations, or at most licensed Fare Vendors. They can also be purchased in advance, which is handy if you don't live right next door to a station.
